 Basic How-to:

Example 1: Full length headlines, cut and paste the following line into your html file:

<script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript" src="http://www.rohs-news.com/rohs-news1.php"></script>

What the "Full Headlines" version looks like:
Note for all examples shown below: background color shown as gray for contrast only, you can set your own background colors.

Example 2: Headlines truncated to 50 characters, cut and paste the following line into your html file:

<script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript" src="http://www.rohs-news.com/rohs-news2.php"></script>

** Notice the only difference between "Full Headlines" and "Truncated Headlines" is the "1" and "2" in rohs-news1.php and rohs-news2.php

Example of what the "Truncated Headlines" version looks like:

 Advanced How-To:

Example 3: Your element's style sheets should be applied to our text by default. If you want to define custom formatting for our text using CSS, you can do something like this:

<div style="font-size:12px; color:gray; font-weight:bold;">
<script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript" src="http://www.rohs-news.com/rohs-news1.php"></script>
</div>

Example 4: Use html formatting instead of style sheets:

<font face="arial" size="2">
<script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript" src="http://www.rohs-news.com/rohs-news1.php"></script>
</font>

Example 5: Add an enclosure (landscape):

<table><tr><td style="font-size:12px; color:666975; font-family:arial; border:1px dashed #666975; padding:10px;">
<B>RoHS News:</b>
<script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript" src="http://www.rohs-news.com/rohs-news1.php"></script>
</td></tr></table>

Example 6: Add an enclosure (portrait - adjust the width to your liking - 200 pixels shown below):

<table width="200"><tr><td style="font-size:12px; color:666975; font-family:arial; border:1px dashed #666975; padding:10px;">
<B>RoHS News:</b>
<script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript" src="http://www.rohs-news.com/rohs-news1.php"></script>
</td></tr></table>

 Alternate Solution:

An alternate solution to relying upon javascript is to cache the rss feed locally on your server. There is a free tool for doing this if you are using a server that supports PHP (most do). See the Carp website for more details.
