To make declaration easier for English speaking companies, RoHS-International has developed
a declaration template in MS Word. This template contains 26 of the most used assembly names
in both English and Chinese. Assembly names include Printed Circuit Assemblies, Main Printed
Circuit Assembly, Display Printed Circuit Assembly, Power Supply Unit, Cables, Fasteners,
Metalwork, Enclosure etc. The template comes fully configured in the format stipulated by
SJ/T11364-2006 including the explanations of the meaning of the "X" and "O". Both English
and Chinese characters are included for ease of use and ongoing maintenance. A

template is available free of charge from their website, which contains a complete list of the assembly names.
The template has the added advantage that it guides companies to a suitable level of disclosure - something
that is still causing confusion in industry. The translation has been done by a native Chinese
speaker with many years experience in the western electronics industry.
"Most companies are creating their tables with all entries in both languages" says Roland Sommer,

names that are not relevant to their product and produce their declaration table within minutes".
